The Digital Oilfield begins at the wellhead. No matter how sophisticated your analytics platform, it can only be as good as the data that feeds it — and that data must be acquired reliably, continuously, and securely from assets that are often remote, geographically dispersed, and operating in extreme conditions.

Envision — Optima Edge — is the device that makes that connection. It sits at the wellsite, interfaces directly with your PLCs and SCADA systems via Modbus-RTU, acquires data from sensors and controllers, and transmits it to the Optima platform in real time — over whatever connectivity is available at that location.

More than a data gateway, Envision also performs edge computation — processing and filtering data locally before transmission, enabling real-time control commands to flow back from Optima to the field asset. This bidirectional, edge-to-cloud architecture is what enables Optima's closed-loop control capability: the ability to adjust setpoints, change frequencies, and start or stop equipment remotely from within the platform.

Connects to PLCs and SCADA systems via RS485/Modbus-RTU. Acquires analog inputs, digital I/O, and high-frequency sensor data. Configurable data rates from 9,600 bps to 12 Mbps — adaptable to the precision requirements of each asset type.
